Process

From waste to valuable raw materials

RC Plast handles both industrial waste and post-consumer waste. Examples of industrial waste include production offcuts and downgraded products, while examples of post-consumer waste can include waste bins, pipes, and containers.

Production waste

Production waste is labelled, and a QR code follows the product throughout the entire process—ensuring full traceability. It is fed into our production lines, where it is melted down, impurities are filtered out, and it is turned into new granulates. We then carry out homogenization, where we blend granulates to achieve a consistent quality. In our modern in-house laboratory, we perform analyses to ensure products meet the required specifications.

The result is high-quality granulates ready for new productionsupporting a circular economy and sustainability throughout the process.

Post-consumer waste (PCR)

The latest initiative at RC Plast is a washing line—the largest full-scale washing line in Denmark—where we can process post-consumer waste. Examples of post-consumer waste include waste bins, pipes, and containers. The washing line shreds, washes, and dries the waste, and the final product is regrind that can be sold directly back to manufacturers of, for example, new waste bins or other plastic products.
